John Davis started his career with KPMG LLP over 30 years ago and was elected to the partnership in 1988. He is currently the Audit professional practice partner in Los Angeles.  He also serves as an SEC reviewing partner, which is a select group of KPMG partners responsible for concurring reviews of SEC engagements.  John has been a member of the firm’s Quality Professional Review Process committee and has served as an instructor for the firm’s real estate training courses.  John has had extensive accounting and auditing experience in all sectors of the real estate industry, including brokerage, real estate investment trusts, contractors, home builders, developers, institutional investment vehicles, property management, operating properties, and syndication of private and public real estate partnerships.  John has participated in many public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, and has been involved with due diligence procedures for clients in various sectors of the real estate industry. He has had extensive engagement partner and/or SEC reviewing partner responsibility for many of the firm’s largest real estate clients. John has also served on the nominating committee for KPMG’s board of directors.  He is a member of the board of directors of Maranatha High School. John received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance with an emphasis in real estate from De Paul University.
